Recommend any nice ski resorts in Pennsylvania?
sdf asked:
My girlfriend and I are looking for a nice ski resort. We would like to book a hotel room where there is a nice view, fireplace, and etc, you know something romantic
Is there a resort like that and cheap at the same time? Thanks in advance for responding.

You may want to look into Seven Springs in western PA. They have a slopeside hotel. As for Eastern PA, most resorts do not have a slopeside hotel. The exception being Big Boulder which has a very close by walk-to rental condo area. As for as I know Elk, Camelback, Blue Mountain, Mountain, and Jack Frost do not have hotels. All have some sort of lodging close-by and Shawnee may have a shuttle from the nearby lodging places. Rental properties in the adjacent community are available for rental at Ski-Big Bear.
Since I’m a local, I can’t vouch for how “romantic” any of the lodging may or may not be. All of the Pocono resorts are day-trips for me.
Elk has the best view from the top, but the others aren’t bad either. From the base area the views are normally of people and the lifts.
Elk has the best skiing in eastern PA rivaled second by Blue Mountain. If you are coming to ski, make the trip to Elk. There are a few small hotels and B&Bs in the area. If you are coming simply to have a romantic trip and don’t really care about the skiing, you may as well just check into Mount Airy and stay at the casino.
