Which ski resorts should i go to in utah if im only there for two days?
Ryan H asked:
The ski resort needs to be within 45 minutes of salt lake city. I am a snowboarder that likes all mountain snowboarding including the terrain park and the really long runs and the backcountry. I want one for the first day and one for the second day.

ski resorts
Either Park City or the Canyons.
Both are great ski resorts and I’m pretty sure both are within 45 minutes of Salt Lake.

Park City and the Canyons, Both are pretty close to 45minutes away from salt lake city. I went to both places last year, Both good mountains with pretty long runs, You’ll get a good park experience at both mountains.

Snowbird is the best for freeriding, park city is the best for park.
Snowbird is the best resort around on a pow day so if it’s snowing go there!

I’m sitting in SLC right now and it’s **snowing** so you’ll have fun!
Personally, my dad always goes to Solitude, where I use to ski too.
My brother bought a ski pass to the CANYONS this year, and he does his homework. Park City is awesome, I’d totally go to the Canyons. Kinda hard to find. I also reccomend Snowbird as well.

This is Utah, there are 7 ski resorts within 45 min of the airport.
Anywhere you go will be better then 90% of the resorts in the US, but the best for boarding is at Brighton.
Have a great time. This snow is still OK, but next year plan your trip in Jan. or Feb. you’ll find better powder. Spring skiing is nice because of the weather, but the snow is a little wetter.

The Canyons, then Snowbird.
The Canyons is great because it’s so spread out, it’s a HUGE mountain. You can literally get lost up there and not see anyone for 30+ minutes on good days. The terrain isn’t all too difficult but the terrain park itself is pretty nice with something like 20 acres including a superpipe, a few halfpipes, boxes, rails, etc. I’ve heard PCMR (Park City) has a pretty nice park too but I’ve never done it, that whole mountain is weak.
Snowbird has some crazy advanced terrain (35% is considered expert and another 40% is considered intermediate at least) and more than 3,000 feet of vertical drop. It’s pretty ********. The aerial tram takes you to 11,000 feet and you can drop into either side of the mountain, the front face being towards the resort where all the lifts are, the back being Mineral Basin (insane powder) and about as “backcountry” as you can get being in-bounds. If you’re here on a day after lots of fresh snow, DO NOT MISS going to Mineral Basin. Seriously.
