JH is primarily geared towards more advanced skiers. They do have “novice” terrain and almost any resort is set up to accommodate beginners in some manner.

Below is a link to their trail map for you to see.

There are not many beginner trails there.. jh is huge and depending on the snow conditions all the skiing can be difficult. Many major ski areas out west are more for advanced skiers.. try a smaller ski area, the terrain will probably be less intense

    No.
Jackson Hole is mainly powder and backcountry runs. You will want to find a place with lots of groomed runs. Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Vail, Winter Park, Copper Mtn (All in Colorado)
Or if you live more Eastern US
try smaller places like winterplace, snowshoe (West Virginia)
Sugar Mtn, Beech Mtn, Appalachian Mtn. (North Carolina)
Or places in the Northeast like in Vermont (Sunday Valley, etc.)

Be sure to take a lesson or you will develop bad habits and it will make it harder to learn to ski. Have fun!

Ok well all the people who answered before me are wrong!!! I live there!! It is an awesome mountain! I love it! They are more geared towards more advanced skiers and terrain, but they do have places for beginners! all mountains do! But if you are a first time skier and are coming to the area any way i suggest you come over to Grand Targhee. They are still in WY but you have to go over to idaho to get there. That is where i ski every weekend! They are cheaper and have less steep terrain. It is about a 45min drive from Jackson Hole to Driggs and then a 20-30 min drive from there. hope that helps!
