Freestyle Skiing Equipment Question?
asked:
I’m looking into buying some freestyle skis. I currently own some K2 powder skis and I love them but I want to get into some freestyle. I’m just wondering if someone’s got any ideas on a hot pair or something theyre currently using that they like. Also, would I need to buy some lightweight boots to go along with the skis? I’ve got some nice soloman’s but idk if theyd be too heavy or not. I’m about 5’7″. Thanks

Hey way to get into freestyling!!
K2 powder skis are pretty good but for freestyling I recommend the K3′s. K2′s are great for expensivestyling but for freestyling, they are one-upped but the K3′s. Here’s a “hot pair” . Yes, you definitely need a pair of lighweight boots, something like these would suit you: . See you on the slopes!!!

Good stuff getting into freestyle, Volkl is a really hot brand right now, I actually just got a pair of the Volkl Bridge, which was voted top all around ski by freeski magazine. This ski is good for everything, powder, groomers, and park. And if you really want to get into freestyle I would definitely get some light boots, it can hurt to land hard in heavy boots. For your height I would recommend no bigger than 175, probably a little smaller.
