Will the new ipod nano shuffle its songs while skiing or running?

jake asked:

With the new “shake to shuffle” feature, i’m worried that the ipod will shuffle even when its just moving a little (not intensionally shaking it) while skiing or running or something like that? Thanks in advance!

The iPod Nano 4G “Shake to Shuffle” feature is actually not as sensitive as you would think. It takes a bit for the iPod to recognize you are trying to activate the feature. So you should fine.

If you put it on hold it will not shuffle the songs.

No it doesn’t. I run with mine all of the time and it never has shuffled. It has to be pretty intense to do the shuffle feature, but if you’re worried about it, go into settings and turn off coverflow. This turns the accelerometer off so it doesn’t shuffle on shake or go into coverflow when it is turned on its side.
