I want to learn how to snowboard, but 2 problems:
I live in Kentucky but i can work around that, meaning my mom would take me wherever (other state other country) to let me do this, so if you have any idea where i should go then name it please
and
the other thing isnt really a problem its more a question, well im 14 and is that to old to start learning and is it hard? and oh ya last question which is funner and/or easier surfing or snowboarding”
West VA is close to Kentucky and has a lot of excellent slopes. Try places like Vermont or Colorado if your family plan a vacation during the winter.
14 is not too old to learn to snowboard. you may be more afraid to fly down the mountain at first but you will pick things up quick. (BE PREPARED TO FALL A LOT AT FIRST THOUGH…)
You’re never too old to learn how to snowboard, but especially at 14, you won’t have any trouble learning at all. The key to learning quickly is to balance being “on the edge”. As you’re learning, if you feel comfortable and “safe” every moment, during every turn, you’re not going to learn fast. It will come, but slowly. On the flip-side, if you go all out every moment, and over-step your boundaries, you’ll get hurt. The ideal way is to be in-between the two. Coming out of your comfort zone without doing something crazy. The key to progression involves some uneasiness.
Keep that in mind, and with the help of an instructor and/or someone who’s been doing it for a long time, you’ll do fine and learn quickly.
As for locations, you can take winter trips to Colorado or Utah, but you’ve got a place called Paoli Peaks in Indiana that might be good for weekend trips if/when you can’t do a long trip. 4 or 5 days straight of solid riding and you should be carving down some intermediate terrain (blue runs).
No your not to old to start i am 14 and i started 2 yrs. ago its so fun i have nvr really surfed but i want to and umm plan a vac. to some snowy place!! But u should def snowboard its so fun.

It' s een ontzagwekkend de zomerkamp.
Well if I was you I would come up here to West Virginia. There is winterplace and snowshoe. Winterplace is my home resort and it is the most mellow in the state. So if you are wanting to learn id say go to winterplace cuz its way smaller and a better place to learn. Snowshoe is alot bigger, and is more advanced. The age 14 is actually a pretty good age to start thats the age most the girls i know started at, and as of your surfing/snowboarding question i wouldnt know but id def stick with snowboarding since is more avalible for me. But yeah just go a check out the ski resorts web sites just search winterplace ski resort West virginia.
