When snowboarding I get unbearable pains in my foot and major cramping in my calfs and quads. Why?

cracker asked:

This is my second year snowboarding. I get unbearable pain in my feet and my quads and calfs cramp up to the point I have to stop every ten seconds to relieve the pain. Is there something I can do to help it? I love snowboarding and fear of having to give it up because of the pain.

You probobly have shin splints. Check and make sure you boots are as tight as they an be. if you have to loose or big boots your feet will slide around and thats where the pain comes from
